I’ve also got to throw in for Madonna’s “Bedtime Story”, which was written by Bjork. 'Specially the bit where they replace Madonna’s mouth with an eye, and her eyes with mouths. Brrrr.
I hope I’m not the only person who’s seen “Anna” by Trio (the German group that also did “Da Da Da”). The video features the band playing on the roof of a garage of a country house. And then, the guitarist just goes out and starts beating the hell out of a cornfield with his guitar, cutting a path through it for no reason I can figure out. Just good ol’ Sprokets-style German neo-expressionism, I guess.

Has anyone seen Alien Ant Farm’s “Smooth Criminal”? It’s so awsome, I almost ripped my head off when I saw it. They put in all these FUNNY visual references to the King of Pop - there’s a dancing kid in a face mask that’s super-cool.
Also, I’d have to say Bjork’s “All is Full of Love”. She’s a super-sleek robot woman in the middle of being assembled, then she has an intimate encounter with HERSELF at the end.
Aerosmith, Crazy, because of Liv Tyler and Crazy Town’s Revolving Door, for similiar optical reasons.

I believe you’re thinking of “California” by Wax. The video is as you describe (except that it’s only a little over two minutes) and it was directed by Spike Jonze.
Am I the only one who loves They Might Be Giants’ “Birdhouse In Your Soul” video? There’s something about the synchronized dancing–and the outfits–that really stirs something in me. Perhaps my tapeworm.
