Bailey and Hornacek, I take it? Not bad. I went with Dantley and Maravich, but those are great picks. I know Thurl IRL, now I’m going to feel bad for not picking him.

Yes, Bailey and Hornacek.

Cavaliers:

North Carolina
Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary High School
Clemson
Guilford College
Georgia Tech

Bench:

Tulane
Miami Ohio

I tried to do the Dallas Mavericks, but it’s tough!

Partly because they’ve never had a really great center (the top “Centers” were all really oversized forwards).

Partly because they have THREE equally strong contenders for best point guard.

Partly because I can’t even find where their best player ever went to HIGH SCHOOL (he never went to college)

Just use Dirk’s European team.

 Mark Aguirre went to Depaul

I didn’t know anyone else in the world was a Hawks fan, let alone anyone else on this board. Which of those guys is your point guard? Unless you’re thinking LSU is the point guard, in which case I think he didn’t play for the Hawks long enough to qualify. In that case, I’d swap out your LSU for Marquette, and then swap out Florida for a different LSU.

Since you took the Hawks, I’ll take another team I’ve followed since childhood:

University of California
UNC
University of Massachusetts - Amherst
Maryland
Stanford

Stanford’s kind of a reach here, but Cincinnati and Syracuse were both really more power forwards than centers, and I need a real big man since Maryland’s got a lock on the four spot.

Yeah, DePaul was the no-brainer at small forward.

And Kansas State was a pretty easy choice at shooting guard.

But at point guard, I really couldn’t decide between Santa Clara, California and Illinois.

Power forward, I guess, we could cheat and say DJK Wurzburg.

But center? The Mavs have never had a great one. I GUESS I have to go with Michigan or North Carolina… but neither guy was a true star and neither was a pure center. Make it North Carolina, since I don’t like irresponsible druggies.

I think you’re allowed to count Dominguez High for your center, considering the impact he had.

Barring that there’s always BYU!

I went with Maravich at PG. Even though he’s a bit before my time, he’s the most storied PG available. I love Doc, but I’d of had Blaylock before him. I’ll need to look at Doc’s numbers.

As for Horford I can’t think of anyone else. Kevin Willis falls into the same boat as Doc. No one else I remember put in enough time with the Hawks.
:smack: Bob Pettit :smack::smack::smack::smack::smack:
My only defense is he was well before my time and didn’t come to mind.

You are, of course, correct about his inclusion.

No love for the great Cliff Hagan?

 Another name I’ve heard of but was gone before I was born.

Cliff Hagan was a 6’4" small forward. I’ll stick with Georgia, thank you very much.

(runs out of room shouting Go Big Blue)

No comments on my Sixers team?

Chicago Bulls:

North Carolina
Memphis
Central Arkansas
Duke
Jacksonville

Took me a while to figure out that Mo Cheeks was in the backcourt with Iverson.

Was Cheeks really that good, or was there a dearth of other candidates?

5th all-time in steals and 11th in assists. Hal Greer’s in the Hall and he isn’t, though.
