No question, the Death of the Discworld is the best.
Gaiman’s Death of the Endless is the sexiest.

Pratchett wins hands down.
My brother reads a lot of anime fan fiction, and he tells me that whenever Death shows up in a story, it’s almost always the Discworld Death.
Nope. My choice as well.
Then again, Pratchett’s entire view of the afterlife makes a lot more sense than what we’ve got around here…
The Death in Discworld may be the favorite here, by popular opinion, but I’ll have to ask my brother. He’s the Terry Pratchett fan in the family - as well as the Douglas Adams fan, may he rest in piece.
But I have to give an honorable mention of the Death figure in the long running Dave Sims comic series, Cerebus. That’s my favorite. He’s not well remembered, except for his own death scene, which happened about a hundred issues ago. Up until then he was given very little real estate within the comic. He was a figure always drawn in black with white highlights, sitting in a thrown, with his power jewels floating and revolving around his head. Come to find out, from the Judge, that he was actually a lesser demon just dressed up and convinced he was Death. The whole time, through eternity, the jewels have actually been sucking his power away, until he realized this about three seconds before he ceased to exist. Kudos to anyone who can tell me what his last words were.
I want to mention Death from The Adventures of Baron Munchausen since he was so freakin’ scary. Ok, he was scared of a little girl but that was just an aberation. Other then that he was mean and relentless. I bet his wings were leathery and grimily oily and smelled of rotting flesh. I bet he’d suck your eyeballs out of their sockets. This is the guy that stands in the shadows when you sleep waiting to bring death to you. One spooky dude.
Death of the Endless. No question.
i’m with m. tucker, robert redford, t.z.
Death as written by Pratchett is the most greatly entertaining.
But when I die, I’d like to be greeted by Death of the Endless. I mean being told you’re dead by a cute girl with a dry sense of humor has got to take some of the sting out of it.
There was a pretty cool one in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Not too original, but cool.
Another vote for Death of the Endless, and Discworld’s Death.
Hey, you stole mine!!
I think I’m actually in love with Death of the Endless… however, I also have to throw in another vote for the Discworld’s Death of Rats. He’s pretty cool.
Oddly, I didn’t really like the Death in Good Omens. Not as funny as the Discworld’s Death, and nowhere near as cool as Gaiman’s Death…
Discworld’s Death. I love how he is indisputably the master of all endings but doesn’t have a clue (and wishes that he did!) about life. When Death “nearly wailed” in Hogfather, hopelessly confused by the self-contradictory beliefs of these insane beings known as humans, I was torn between laughing my ass off and feeling terribly sorry for the poor guy.
Death from Woody Allen’s one-act play, Death Knocks.
“Aren’t you Newt Ackerman?”
“Nat. Nat Ackerman.”
“Newt, Nat. I got such a headache!”
I think I’ll jump the pond and go with Death in Mulberry. He was the usual kind of death, but he enjoyed twisting his son’s tail - I love TVO!
Saint of Killers from Garth Ennis’ Preacher. All the others are number two or lower!
…the word thundered to the sound of his guns…
