For those of you who listen to talk radio, what’s your top 3 list for talk show hosts? Mine are, in no particular order:
Glenn Beck, because I agree with most of what he says, and because I think he’s very entertaining, and I love the, oh for lack of a better term, history lessons, he sometimes gives. And I also love his comedy bits. Though I do find it annoying when he drags a story on and on before getting to the point, but other than that, I think he’s great.
Rush Limbaugh - Pretty much the same thing. I usually agree with what he says, and I find him entertaining. Although I don’t listen to him every day, I find it funny when I do, he’s usually on vacation. To be honest, I think I hear as much from, if not more of people like Walter Williams, Tony Snow, Rodger Hedgcock, and other guest hosts than I do of Rush. And I do find his update theme songs annoying, but other than that…
Lionel - It’s rare if I hear his show, but when I do, I usually love it. He’s very entertaining
The Tony Bruno Extravaganza.
Never heard of it.
Fox Sports Radio, nationally syndicated, on from 8:00am-12:00pm EST.
You haven’t heard of Tony Bruno? Why, that’s a national outrage!
I’m not really a sports fan.
For the most part, the audience for talk radio consists of losers, people who have time to listen to radio during working hours.
This explains why most talk radio hosts are right wing nuts – losers tend to be right wing nuts.
I like Howard Stern but it’s a total dysfunctional affinity. I wish he would just grow up already. I enjoy his banter back and forth with his underlings but hate, hate, hate, the stripper/raunchy guy talk. I’ve listened to him for years and it’s just getting stranger as he gets older.
And fuck you too, asswipe.

An awkward and stupid person; an oaf. See Synonyms at boor.
Yep…it fits.
Hehehe.
Nothing to say, just enjoying JohnT’s Reeder’s posts.
And Lout, you must be new here, talk like that is for the Pit, or possibly for Great Debates…no, the Pit.
Lionel is great; I can’t believe his Richmond affiliate, WRVA, is pulling him for Michael Savage… Now our big talker will be all conservative, including a tape-delayed call-in advice show (Dr. Laura’s on evenings here), for crying out loud.
Glenn Beck is okay for what he is, but what…is…it…with…all…the…dead…air…?
The radio gods, though, are Don & Mike. They’ll say what they wish.
I listen to Mark and Brian, Bernie Ward and Phil Hendrie.
Mark and Brian are ok. I use to be a fan of Doctor Laura, but I stopped listening to her because, as time went on, she became more and more rude and arrogant. It’s as if while time goes on her critics become more and more right about her.
I put Michael Savage and Michael Regan into the same catagory, a little bit too conservative for my taste. I don’t listen to them really because they sometimes make me cringe. Just like I don’t listen to Tom Leykis because his views on women make me cringe.
Dr. Dean Adel is ok, but kind of boaring, so is Jim Cramer.
Mark Davis is ok, not that I listen to him that much.
There’s this one talk show host, I can’t think of her name, I only heard her a couple of times, but she’s like a cross between Jim Cramer and Dr Laura. Her show is about money, but she also talks about feelings, and doing what’s right, or something like that. Anyway, it’s kind of funny.
Don + Mike
“Car Talk” on NPR
Jim Hightower. Can’t find him on a station in CT, though.
My two guilty pleasures…Art Bell and Rush Limbaugh.
Art Bell is just sheer wacky hoo-hah, while Rush is entertaining on occasion, if annoying with all the self stroking. I don’t agree with him, but it is fun once in a while.
Dr. Drew and Adam Corolla from “Love Line”
I can’t stand Stern or his ilk, though I almost miss Opie and Anthony. They could be sublime under all that crap.
Martin
Tom Leykis is God. He also proclaims himself as not being a “right wing wacko” in his opening. I love that guy.
Yeah, my wife and I listen to Love Line every now and then, although we both find Adam Corolla annoying. My wife thinks that Dr. Drew hot, and she says that when Jimmy Kimmel guest hosts, she can’t tell the difference between him and Corolla.
I used to like Sally Jessy Rapheal when she had a radio show in the 1980s.
Another vote for Rush…Timmy
All right Timmy!!!
Hey, anybody ever listen to the short lived Dick Cavett radio talk show? Talk about bad. He never seemed to time the commercials right, his talk show host skills left something to be desired. Then he was “sick” for a while (yeah right, just an excuse to not appear on the radio because even he knew how bad he was.) and then the show ended.
