Favorite Salad

I’ll start with:

aged parmesan
bacon, crisp

Green salad with candied walnuts, blue cheese, apple and vinaigrette.

That sounds gooooooooooooooooood (minus the tomatoes!).

bacon crumbles
Shredded cheddar cheese
red onion
homemade croutons
blue cheese dressing

Sooooo unhealthy, sooooo perfect for for Atkins!

Grilled red onion
sliced steak
Balsamic vinigrette

A good Greek salad w/the feta cheese, olives, & potato salad.

Teddy Salad

Green Pea & Bacon salad
Nothing better.

Smoked chicken, celery, walnut, blue cheese dressing

Tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons, fresh mozarella, parmesan cheese, ground black pepper, garlic, italian dressing.

No tomatoes or croutons in my salads.

Spinach leaves
Crumbled bacon
Green goddess dressing

Salad Nicoise (which took me forever to pronounce correctly!)

Green Beans
A light dressing

It’s got it all, baby!

Field greens with chunks of pear, bleu cheese, walnuts, and salmon with a sesame mandarin dressing and croutons.

Chunks of cold grilled salmon
Bok choy
Sun-dried tomatoes
Shaved mozzarella
Black (or Greek) olives
Sliced mushrooms
Italian dressing

beetroot, baby spinach, goat’s cheese and walnut salad I usually add orange or mandarin segments to it.

Buffalo mozzerella
Slice tomatoes
fresh basil and a smigen of other greens
olive oil
fresh ground pepper

Start with baby spinach. Then, it depends on whether I want sweet, or savory.
Good tomatoes
Hard cooked egg wedges
Bacon crumbles
Shredded cheddar/jack cheese
Blue cheese dressing

Mandarin orange sections
Very thin ribbons of red onion
Sliced strawberries
Chopped walnuts
Raspberry vinaigrette dressing

Lettuce, Spinach, Pickled Beets, Cucumbers, Cauliflower and Broccoli, Fresh “frozen” peas, garbanzo beans from the can, Red Onion rings, Real bacon chunks, Croutons, sunflower seeds and french dressing.

And none of that cheap, creamy, orange, and vinegary French Shit. It’s red and oily, Catalina style if need be.

Very simple and always a big hit.

Sliced strawberries
Poppy seed dressing

Go easy on the dressing.

Oh, hell yeah.

I’m not 100% sure what my favorite salad is, but that would definitely be up there. Any combination of greens, some nuts, a little fruit, a blue or goat cheese, a touch of acidity and a touch of olive oil is perfect.

And definitely, easy on the dressing. The dressing should just provide enough brightness from the acidity and soft fruitiness from the oil to accent the rest of the flavors.
