Favorite Stones song?

You Can’t Always Get What You Want
Rocks Off
Sympathy for the Devil
Shattered
Satisfaction

Happy.

I’d have to say Miss You. Wild Horses is up there. The outro from Can’t You Hear Me Knockin’ is as good as anything they’ve done.

Favorite deep cut is probably Sweet Virginia.

This. Both the song choice and the observation.

Honky Tonk Woman

There’s many great Stones songs, but none better than Gimme Shelter. That’s the natural order of the universe.

Brown Sugar
then the Carol on the Ya-Yas album, and then about two dozen others, or more!

Tough choice. “In Another Land” from the Their Satanic Majesties Request album is my favorite for the moment.

Brown Sugar is my favourite, but Sympathy for the Devil is good too.

Gimme Shelter, and It’s Only Rock and Roll.

*If I could stick a knife in my heart
Suicide right on stage
Would it be enough for your teenage lust
Would it help to ease the pain?

I swing between “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking” and “Happy” as my favorite. If for some reason I can’t have those, I’d like “Sympathy for the Devil”, please.

Moonlight Mile

Great, great song. I included it on the CD mix I put together for my wedding celebration. A rare 6/8 song for them (also the contemporaneous “Backstreet Girl,” and their gorgeous reworking of Robert Johnson’s “Love in Vain.”) Jagger’s low-pitched vocal performance is utterly sincere (amidst all that 1966 misogyny, in “Ride On Baby,” etc).

Angie, and it’s not close.

“No Expectations” is my favorite.

Honky Tonk Woman.

But I ain’t much of a Stones guy.

I’m not even familiar with several Stones’ songs, but these two are among my favorites.

My #1 favorite? Watching Lisa Fischer co-star in Gimme Shelter.

Can’t You Hear Me Knockin - best opening lick ever, and my favorite long end bit.
Gimme Shelter

So much great music.
