I’m looking for some suggestions for on-line sites that ship from Canada. I’m trying to get some unique stuff for Christmas gifts, so I’m looking for stuff along the lines of www.mcphee.com (Archie McPhee) or www.thinkgeek.com I don’t mind ordering from the US, but this time of year, I’d like to avoid potential custom fees and duty shipping slow-downs.
Have you looked at Images of Canada? They have beautiful stuff, and are (as the name indicates) Canadian.
I bought a pin from them a couple of months ago, and was pleased with their service.

RedFlagDeals.com is a site dedicated to finding things on sale. This is Canadian and there is lots of discussion of online retailers as well as bricks-and-mortar retailers. Occassionally there will be discussion of getting stuff from the US, but typically it is canuck-centric.
Read the forums for discussions about deals that haven’t made the front page.
Do you have more sites like that? That’s the kind of thing I’ve been looking for, too.

I don’t whether it’s geeky or not but try lee valley - they have some interesting stuff like musical instruments played by hand; unusual games.
