Yes - it sounds like so much net lore that’s out there, but this one is true. If you work for the US Gov’t, to include the uniformed services, just call your carrier (numbers below) for a discount on your cell phone bill. I have Cingular, and all I had to do was fax them a brief application and copy of my military ID, and now I get 19% off my bill. Just thought I’d share. (I believe this is true for students as well. To what extent, I don’t know)
