Unfortunately, some peoples’ idea of web site maintenance is to put it out on the web and forget it. (BTW, I miss ZCMI too).
True enough, and I feel the same way about what’s going on in Harvard Sq. But I honestly feel that is like arguing with the tide, change is always happening. But the fact is that neither store was doing very well, the market couldn’t support the both of them. Change was coming, and it seems silly to feel bad about the store that “won”. Downtown Crossing (and all city center shopping areas) are in a huge state of flux right now.
As to clothes selection, I honestly never noticed any difference, but I rarely shop in either place.
