FedEx Ground emails me that my shipment was delivered...

…to my front door at 1:54 this afternoon, but it wasn’t.

At least I couldn’t find it. Looked all over.

Then I scramble to try to find a way to contact the carrier - to speak to someone there.

Hah!

The automated phone system doesn’t allow for “My fucking package has NOT been delivered!!” so I waste time getting dicked around there.

And then I find that the vendor has a phone number, but they don’t want to be bothered with phone calls. “Email us,” said *their *automated system. Screw 'em. Gave them 1 star - and I routinely give 5 stars to amazon’s third party vendors.

A half hour later I hear my wife thanking someone in the driveway. FedEx guy with the package - a nice new 4’ x 6’ American Flag. Why would he pre-post his delivery like that?

Anyone know a FedEx number I can call and get a human on the line?

1-800-GO-FEDEX, hit zero three or so times. Incidentally, an e-mail alert is an option allowed by FEDEX, and may be triggered by it being placed on the truck for delivery. So the shipper may have done this as a service to you and has now been unfairly dinged for his courtesy. Also, FEDEX themselves cannot answer questions about packages currently out for delivery. The automated systems relies on the last scan of the package, newer information isn’t posted until a subsequent scan.
