Can anyone think of a reason I should watch?
Sadly, no. And I actually have a Season Pass to the show. Watch “Lost” instead!
I watch it because…well… it’s on. If you haven’t watched it from the start, you might not have the same time and interested invested to get you through an episode. The big thing about the show is the underlying expectation where you want to see Martha let her bitch flag fly and sadly it never even makes it half-staff.
Nah, I have been watching it since the start and I still don’t give a shit. Even the possibility – er, strong probability – that Jim will get seriously inappropriate with someone about something isn’t going to be enough to entice me, I don’t think.
Well, I solve all that indecision by taping it, then I can skim through whenever. I really don’t see why everyone thinks it’s so bad. I thought the tasks were at least more inteesting an realistic than The Donald’s version. I just don’t understand why Jim is still on the show.
Let me know if anything good happened. I hung out and listened to music and had four simultaneous IM conversations going instead. (I can do no more than two if I’m watching TV at the same time. )
Watch it. There is always the chance that The Donald will call Clay, invite him to dinner, and then wink at him over the menu as he says “I think I’ll try the chicken…”
Clay is – was – on the “Real” Apprentice, which I watch without urging. (If only because I’m on IM with Rysler and we indulge in snarky commentary throughout). This is Martha Stewart, which has failed to delight me.
Leslie got fired. I won’t bore you with a recap of the tasks. Basically, Leslie talked a big game and then failed miserably as PM. Jim and Bethenny managed another win in their typically disfunctionally functional way. Martha came up with arguably her best firing line to date (“We just don’t need you”).
Next week: Jim gets drunk…again.
You forgot the best part, Diogenes – the “reward” was dinner with Charles and some woman (chairman of the board, I think), and Jim came right out and talked about his “game” strategy of getting rid of the strong so he’d only have weak candidates to go up against to win. You know, he really has killed off a few too many brain cells along the way; that was so moronic it was total proof that they’re keeping him around solely for entertainment value!
And yet even the sure knowledge that I’d get to watch Jim act like an as**le wasn’t enough to get me to watch last night…
I would have watched if nothing else was on. We watched Lost and recorded Trading Spouses, so there was no room for Martha.
Are there any decent candidates left? Marcela, Bethenny, Jim – who else is left? Does Marcela have a shot?
sorry 'bout that… I thought the OP was referring to the Microsoft-based show that is airing tonight on the orig. Apprentice.
I made myself laugh, though…
Of course you did – you’re a phungi!
Ugh, what a broing episode. I’m a fan of the show and even I (almost) regret having watched it. They’re diting Jim into a semi-decent human being, little by little, and I’ll have none of it.
This version sucks. Rather than building tasks around Martha’s business, they’ve simply copied verbatim from The Donald. WTF does creating a car commercial have to do with helping run Martha Stewart Omnimedia?
I’m not surprised the show has been cancelled. The contestants are unlikeable and the tasks mostly boring. Even Martha comes off phonier than usual.
