There wasn’t even a reward for this week’s winning team. Unless you count a visit from Martha as a reward.
The show needs a makeover. By Week #4, someone should stand out, in a positive way, just a teensy bit.
I hate Leslie almost as much as I hate Jim. Maybe she volunteered to switch to Matchstick just so she could scuttle them, because she sure did a good job of that.
Did anybody else bother to watch?
I did. I knew Dawn would be fired eventually. At first, I thought people were just needlessly ganging up on her. Now? I think she contributed to why people didn’t like her much. Yikes.
Looks like Jim may be next.
I bothered, but yeah it was pretty yawny. I actually kind of liked Dawn in that outcast kind of way, but her issues painting and waking it up made it pretty hard to defend her this time.
And yeah, the reward was a joke. When it was first announced, my wife said “That’s it?” I replied “Maybe she’s going to give them all $10,000!” No, instead she just ate their m-and-m’s and checked out the view.
Mrs. PM Primarius? Loved the neckerchief. Anyone else expect her to bid the tour group farewell at the door with the traditional "Buh-bye. Buh-bye. Bye now. Thank you. Buh-bye.
And Matchstick would have lost either way. When you have to convince people that there’s a theme, it aint working.
What exactly was that respond from Jimarosa in the Conference Room? “Who would you fire?” “Er um, not me? (shit eating grin)” When pressed for an actual answer he responds “Well possibly like Leslie I think but Dawn maybe also and Leslie too?” What an ass licking worm. Here’s hoping with Dawn out of the way he’s next on the chopping block.
Vice President Freud got in a couple o’ zingers didn’t he?
Martha: “I had two hours to prepare my fancy shindig, and you know what, it got done.” Frued: “That’s because you didn’t have these guys doing it.”
Slacker: “Oh snap!”
I’m still enjoying the change o’ pace from Trump, but I agree this show isn’t long for this world if something interesting doesn’t happen soon. Of course, I think the casting is the problem so we’re probably doomed anyway.
That was a bit weird, wasn’t it? She was like a cruel schoolmistress, and I think it’ll only get worse. I’m still liking it, though-- Matchstick’s utter incompetence, my utter hatred for Jim, those two butch guys on Primarius who you just know are doing it.
This show is really hurt by Martha’s lackeys. On Trump, Carolyn and George stood out almost immediately as being entertaining, on the ball, and worth watching.
On Martha, the guy comes across as a very pal imitation of George with the stupidest prop since Oddjob was throwing hats. And using Martha’s daughter is idiotic. Most people assume she is doing this because she is Martha’s daughter, not because she has any exceptional business knowledge. And, she has yet to disprove that theory.
They really needed to go another direction with her helpers. A good show succeeds because the little things buttress the big things. In this one, the little things are all quite lacking.
