Female Equivalent of "Ball Drop"

As any guy will testify, if he stands at the edge of a cliff, building, or something similar. This is where one’s testicles feel as if they’re in free fall, and rapidly heading on their way to the ground, even though they’re still safely snuggled in one’s scrotum. I’m wondering if women experience a similar feeling. Do their ovaries or breasts suddenly seem to heading for the pavement some distance away, or do they feel nothing comparable?

I’m not exactly sure what sensation you are describing. I do feel like my nuts are in freefall sometimes if I’m travelling in a car, and the car goes too fast over a bridge. Is this what you mean?

I only feel that “ball drop” sensation when I’m actually falling, like when an airplane hits a sudden downdraft. I’m not sure I get what you’re talking about.

Yeah. It’s definately a psychological thing with your brain telling you that your nuts have decided to commit testicularcide. I’ve noticed that after I’ve spent a lot of time high up (say on a cherry picker) that I don’t experience the feeling. It’s only when I’m up higher than I’m used to being, or in an unfamiliar environment that I get it. It’s sort of like vertigo concentrated in ones testicles.

Interesting. I can’t say I’ve experienced “vertigo of the nuts” quite the way you described it.

I do get “freefall nuts” in the situations such as what JasonFin and I described, but this is not quite the same thing.

Kinda like a phantom prolapsed uterus?

I think the freeballing scrotum sensation is linked with the fight or flight stuff.

Most people describe this as “a sinking feeling in their guts,” not their nuts.

Sorry, Tuckerfan, you’re obviously a freak…

Band name!

(take your pick…)

Ya know, I get this so often that I really ought to add it to my sig.:frowning:

My testes always feel like they’re crawling back inside my abdomen in those situations, not falling free.

Sometimes when I’m scared it feels like someone is poking at my kidneys, is that what you’re looking for?

[Hijack] All of my mammary glands and gonads are pretty calm and composed regardless of my surroundings. But I have experienced the odd “cooling” sensation down the skin of my breasts and chest after chugging cold water or juice on occasion…I always figured it was just odd nervous system reporting as the liquid cooled my internal tissues…kinda like your own voice sounds deeper because you’re hearing it through your head as well as your ears.

It sure feels like I’ve spilled it down my shirt sometimes. [/Hijack]

I know what he’s talking about; its quite noticeable on rollercoasters at the moment the car begins the freefall down a tall hill. I’d compare it to the feeling of being hit in the balls: as some have mentioned, it is felt strongly in the bottom of the stomach/gut, while at the same time being connected to the testicles. Very weird feeling.

Yeah ive had it before- its psychological, im not female though. I usually feel it in my chest and stomach as well, kinda like a butterflies feeling.

honeydewgrrl, you obviously need to pour liquids both down your throat, and down your shirt over your breasts, in a controlled setting, so we can determine exactly how similar they feel. I volunteer to administer the experiment.

And no, I’ve never experienced “ball drop”. I came in here wondering what was so masculine about New Year’s on Times Square.
