The sexy firefighter ( ::sigh:: ) thread got me to thinking – are there any female occupations that are usually filled with sexy women?
I’m not thinking “beautiful”, because that’s too easy.
But “sexy” - that certain special something.
Guys?

Jobs where a women uses her brains can be extremely sexy: engineer, teacher, librarian.
I’ll go for the obvious: any job that holds power and/or authority: cop, member of the armed forces, FBI agent, etc.

G/L Analyst? Yeah baby yeah.
Anyhoo, advertising or public relations, where good looks in addition to talent will help you win clients?
Women engineers? Nerdettes? Not any that I’ve met!
You make me frisky when you talk like that, kitten.
Um…let’s see…I’m usually attracted to gals that are smart and hot, even though they don’t throw out the “I know I’m really fucking hot vibe”. Then again, I’m also attracted to the “I’m gorgeous, and if I were you, I’d want to ravage me” vibe.
Crap. I got nothin’.
Drug reps?
I was just about to say drug reps.
Amazing how much that industry has changed. Back in the early nineties I was interviewing for drug rep positions - now they’d quietly chuck my resume in the trash.
Clearly, you haven’t met a representative sample of the women in the armed forces.
Bank tellers. Or maybe it’s just my bank.
Musician, especially on a non-stereotypically female instrument.
Woman playing piano = nice.
Woman playing electric guitar = rowrr.
Woman playing flute = nice.
Woman playing drums = boinnnngggg!
I was in the Air Force myself. Maybe you were just in the wrong unit.

Well, I’m not a guy, but I’ve been told a few times that mechanically inclined women (like maintenance workers) are sexy. I’m not sure why, though. Maybe it’s a confidence thing, and on some level enjoying getting all dirty.
You don’t work where I do, then. Some of our engineers are very attractive. (And married, or as good as married. Sigh.)
It has been established that nurses are considered extremely sexy, and women who portray nurses are often used in porn.
As an apprenticing electrician, my stock went way up as soon as I strapped on my first tool belt. There’s a ton of “Ooooh, look, she’s using power tools! drool” around me.
Air Force != Army.
We (apocryphally) have something known as the “Gorilla Test” – young female recruits are supposedly put in a tent with the Gorilla. If the recruit runs out of the tent screaming, she gets sent to the Air Force. If the Gorilla runs out screaming, she gets sent to Armored/Infantry/Whatever-branch-of-the-army-is-being-laughed-at-at-the-moment
(with apologies for the obviously misogynistic joke – it just fit here. Please accept it in the spirit in which it was intended [i.e., army bashing :p])

ETA: Serious answer – I don’t really believe in “sexy occupations.” I never got the thing about women loving firefighters, either. Every man and woman is an individual, and attractive or not on their own merits.
The last time I was in hospital I had one Filipina nurse in her early 20s. All the others were my mom’s age or older. Granted I’m gay so I was dissapointed either way.
Naked trampoline tester?
For some reason (okay, the reason was that it was in Palm Springs), the hospital my grandfather was in had all these hot guy nurses.
