Look, when the jury decides, we’ll find out who is right, and who is dead.
Well, we already found out who is dead; the thug is dead. But we’ll find out if we’re living in the kind of society where the cop who shot him is right; I hope we are.

The nice thing about this thread is that it’s revealing the true colors of a lot of people I’d originally thought were pretty inoffensive and reasonable.
Cops are not there to mete out justice. That’s a court’s job. Unless directly preventing physical harm, a cop should never be allowed to use deadly force.
Decision has been made. Announcement forthcoming.
Prepare for the worst.
When is it to be announced?
Regards,
Shodan
“Later today” is all I see on the news.
4 PM central time.
It’s going to be bedlam.
Strategically not the worst idea to have been misleading about the two-day warning so that prospective protesters who may’ve left thinking they’ll get a two-day heads-up don’t have time to get back there, and so some folks won’t have time to make up part of the initial crowd if they have a job with standard work hours.
Huh? Misleading? The protest organizers asked for 48 hours, which was one of the more ridiculous requests on that list (the idea that a roomful of people could keep that sort of secret for 2 days is laughable). As far as I know, the city never agreed to that provision.
The cynic in me suspects that they made a decision on Friday, and decided to hold off on announcing it (or giving two days’ notice) because they didn’t want to scare off the tourists who were in town over the weekend for Survivor Series (which took place yesterday in St. Louis.) By not giving notice, they didn’t lose the tourist dollars that those people brought in, waiting until 4 PM today, they assure that all the non-locals are out of the area and don’t get caught in the ensuing clusterfuck.
I guarantee you St. Louis County does not give the least bit of fuck about tourists in St. Louis City.
I agree that they had probably already decided (although maybe they hadn’t take a final vote). Schools are out this week so kids will be off the streets. The police are probably pissed that all their Thanksgiving vacation requests are getting cancelled.
Thanks a lot. Now I’m going to hell for laughing at that. . .
I’ll see you there. That was fucking hilarious.
Waving a loaded gun around the driver in a moving car. Darwin Award nominee, for sure.
Apparently police have told St. Louis gun shops to close up due to an impending finding of no crime.
When “the riots” are over they can reopen.
Just curious - why? Many people expected all hell to break loose after the George Zimmerman verdict, and yet folks basically moved on. I expect that if Darren Wilson isn’t indicted, yes, there will likely be some angry protesters. But not the redux of the Rodney King riots people seem to be bracing for.
Are you completely ignorant of what happened in Ferguson after the Michael Brown shooting?
That link only has 30 views (and I was one of them). Nothing in it that proves anything like you claim except a few people saying so.
