Not completely. But I see a few mitigating factors this time around. 1) When the riots took place, they were worsened by the police assing up their response so bad, which added fuel to the fire. Will they make the same mistake again? I don’t know. 2) Call me naive, but maybe people’s nerves have had a chance to calm down in the past three months and they’ll opt for more peaceful forms of protest, should he not be indicted. 3) The worst rioting was before anything had come out suggesting that Wilson may have fired at least partly in self-defense. 4) I’d like to hope that community leaders, clergy etc. haven’t been just sitting around hoping for the best, but have taken some measures to try to avoid a repeat of August.
I don’t know what will happen. I just want to know why it’s obvious there will be bedlam.
Well, I guess in about five minutes we’ll know if you’re right.
Just be grateful that she’s such a good shot.
I’ve had CNN on and they haven’t said a word about when the decision will be announced. They’re still saying “later today” or “tonight.”

Yeah, that’s what this WSJ article says too:
Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon arrived in the area on Monday evening and was expected to hold a news conference at 5:30 p.m. local time, “calling for peace and discussing preparations to protect the public and free speech, in anticipation of the announcement of the grand jury decision,” according to a release from his office.
<snip>
There have been no announcements about when the grand jury announcement will be made, but it is expected later Monday evening.
The spokeswoman for the county executive earlier in the day had said a news conference was planned for an earlier time.
So, apparently someone put out the word that the announcement would be made earlier, but that was either wrong, or has changed.
Absolute:
4 PM central time.
steronz:
Twitter is saying 7pm
If they had a lick of sense, they should do it at 10am. In the snow/rain. Wednesday.

Seriously. Why are they waiting until nightfall to do it? Surely they have to realize that it’s not going to help contain / prevent potential protests and rioting.
Nah, Thursday, 30 minutes into the Big Game (since I hate football I have no idea whose playing), from a small platform opposite a giant stadium screen broadcasting the game.
Because, at the very least, letting nine-to-fivers get home will limit disruption to traffic.
Clayton, where the court house is, is a major business hub. Minimizing disruption to day-to-day business is probably a consideration.

Good point. I didn’t think about that.
I just heard this on the radio news as well.

What stops individual jurors from leaking the results?
Instructions from the judge and threat of prosecution.
Per this , getting arrested for disclosing grand jury testimony/evidence. FTA:
Is the grand jury proceeding secret?
Yes. It is a crime for a grand juror to disclose grand jury proceedings or evidence. However, a witness to the grand jury can come outside a grand jury room and say what he or she testified. In the past, after the grand jury had made its decision, St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch has sometimes released information about the proceedings, and he has announced he is doing in this case. McCulloch released grand jury materials in a decade-old case involving the police shooting of two men in a car at a Jack-in-the-Box restaurant in Berkeley.
The statute is Missouri Revised Statutes § 540.320 540.320.
No grand juror shall disclose any evidence given before the grand jury, nor the name of any witness who appeared before them, except when lawfully required to testify as a witness in relation thereto; nor shall he disclose the fact of any indictment having been found against any person for a felony, not in actual confinement, until the defendant shall have been arrested thereon. Any juror violating the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a class A misdemeanor.
IANAL, yadda yadda. Didn’t seem to stop this guy, if Gateway Pundit is to be believed.

A source inside the prosecutors office is not a grand juror. Plenty of other risks, but he wouldn’t fall under the prohibitions on grand jurors.

The prosecutor has confirmed there is no true bill.
Justice has been served.
Looks like no charges will be brought.
