The Testarossa was one of the last Ferraris to have “the look” about it. Finally, the Ferrari design bureau has come up with the Enzo. This car looks like it’s doing 100 MPH while standing still.
Anyone else have some killer images of this or any other modern speed machines worth talking about. The recent crop of Ferraris looked like boxy Pontiacs. This is a design to do Ferrari’s pappy proud. Well it is that this four wheeled monster is given his name. Here’s another (smaller but excellent) image to get your heart racing (as it were).
I think that both the F355 and F360 look a hell of a lot nicer than the Enzo. It just looks like they were trying too hard imho and just screams “look at me, I’ve got a small dick”
Wow. I thought you might be talking about the the sketches on the cover of the current “Forza”. I don’t know a name for it but it is not the Scaglietti 612 images floating around the 'net.
Anyone have a link for the images I’m talking about?
IMHO the Enzo is ugly. I love Ferraris of the '60s and '70s. the 330GTs, 275GTBs, BB512s, etc. The F40, F50, Enzo, etc are bad-ass but not graceful or even “cool” like some of the older cars. I do like the 550 Maranello.
I don’t like the way the front of the Enzo is designed to look like the F1 car, with some crap that is just there to look like a front wing. In general I don’t think it looks good when something is designed to look like something that it isn’t. They might as well put that fake wood panelling on the side.
Well, $200,000+ “super cars” aside, my all-time favorite production vehicle (in terms of design) has to be the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4. Nothing else comes close as far as I am concerned.
