I am totally lost, I thought that maybe someone out there might help me. My father and myself were recently parked nose to nose with an SUV with the ferrari insignia on the front. Ferrari’s website lists no such vehicle and a google search only helped me find others who have seen this vehicle, but cannot find information on it. If any of you have seen this vehicle, let me know and if anyone knows where to get info, let me know and MOST IMPORTANTLY, if anyone has a picture send it on over cause none of my friends believe me.
Is it the Laforza?
Well, if Lamborghini can do it…
Pfft. Ferrari. Everyone in the know is aware that real men drive an LM002 as their SUV. http://formen.ign.com/news/9829.html
Naah…
Unimog.

could it be this?
That car is a Porsche. It couldn’t be mistaken for a Ferrari, because it has the Porsche badge on the front - you can see it in the photo.
Well, at a quick glance, someone not very familiar with both badges could confuse them. Both feature black prancing horses facing left on a yellow background.
Yeah, I can see that, it is possible.
Erm, not to state the obvious, but is it not possible that someone just purchased a Ferrari badge and stuck it on the front of some other SUV for appearances? Perhaps someone like the guys on this page.
Lamborghini, of course, is not limited to performance cars or even SUV’s. It’s a tractor company.
I was about to suggest the same thing. About three weeks ago I saw Toyota Camry where the owner had replaced all of the emblems with Ferrari. Even the chrome “Toyota” nameplate on the trunk was replaced with the Ferrari name, and the wheels had Ferrari logos in the center.
What DarrenS and Jet Jaguar say. I’ve seen people do this around here. Some of them do it really neat.
If it was an ugly ass angular monster, it may have been Alfa Romeo.
I should mention that I’ve personally seen a Laforza in the US with Ferrari badges on it. I used to live a couple of blocks from somebody who owned one.
Oh, and welcome to the boards matt101.
Thanks for the welcome.
I must say that you’re right that it could be possible that some loser put all the ferrari badges over their SUV. It was not a LaForza it was more Mercedes SUV looking, but not a Mercedes or a Lexus. I give you this link: http://forums.vmag.com/suvsubaru0499/messages/3643.html
These people all claim to have seen this SUV and the LaForza was also suggested there. It’s driving me nuts (no pun intended), I gotta find out about this car. I tried to find away to contact Ferrari but I couldn’t find any e-mail or address to write to. If anyone has anything, let me know.
“V-Cross”? Sounds like a re-badged Isuzu.
Dear god, thanks for the links. Some of the most hideous things I’ve seen in my life, escpecially Mr. Blue Sky’s link.
One thing I’d like to add is that if Ferrari made a SUV, I’d know about it. Probably the closest thing to a SUV they’ve produced is a 4-seat sedan that looked sort of like a Saturn wagon about 5-6 years ago, but that was a special custom order from the Sultan of Brunei. They only made 4 or 5 of them and the Sultan owns all but one of them, and that one is owned by a collector in England. Therefore, it’s highly unlikely you happened to see this car (plus, it looks more like a station wagon than a SUV anyway).
P.S. You can see the Ferrari wagon here, at the bottom of the page.
