Fertilizer for Red Maple and Hibiscus

I am trying to find out the best fertilizer to use for a Japanese Red Maple approximately 2 1/2 - 3 years old.

I am also trying to determine if I can use a 30-10-10 or 17-17-17 fertilizer for 2 Hibiscus (tree varities)that were planted this spring. I have an article that suggests 10-10-10 and I don’t want to do anything to harm them, but prefer not to have to purchase yet another bag of specialized fertilizer for just 2 plants.

I appreciate any assistance that anyone can provide.

Oh, either of them should work. Just spread it around the root line of the tree, aka drip line. Not too much. Really though, why not look at the fertilizer package & see how much for trees you are to use?
