Many items from the shuttle were found fairly intact, including the tires from the right wing landing gear, and a mission insignia patch.
Last time I flew, they almost arrested me for that. But, I convinced them that if passengers cannot re-enact Twilight Zone episodes, then the terrorists have already won.
Tuckerfan-My campaign to win Eve’s heart resulted in her sending me a restraining order. She clearly wrote it herself, as it a masterful mix of legal terms and poetic images. This further demonstration of her skill with words made me want her all the more. Eve, I still love you from afar [sub]at least three hundred and fifty feet at all times[/sub]
This is what some people predicted early on—that the search for debris would turn up stuff like stills and meth labs and murder victims. I don’t really want to know how a fetus got to where it was found, but I think it’s safe to assume that its placement was unrelated to the Columbia disaster.
Um actually if you read the article the fetus was in a portapotty that serviced searchers of debris. They are investigating all the women searchers to find who da mama.
Seriously, it was a third trimester fetus or a newborn. Sooooo . . . it seems they could just ask who was pregnant before and isn’t now. End of story. Am I simplifying too much?
FairyChatMom, I agree with you fully.
And on the subject of them finding unrelated stuff in a mass search:
A few years ago a neighbor of mine disappeared (they never did find her, btw). In the huge search in the area they found:
- 3 marijuana fields
- Several abandoned cars without any ID (all out in the woods, very new)
- A few stills.
There are weird things out there…
