Fictional things/products that became real

Yeah, a Hobbes plushie would be nice. According to Wiki Watterson did Okay two calendars and a educational book called “Teaching with Calvin and Hobbes”.

I’m still waiting for Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs.

OMG- there is a recipe for them!

If there’s one iconic food from the Calvin and Hobbes comics, it’s Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs. Calvin eats three bowls every Saturday for breakfast, and it’s hinted throughout the comics that it could be linked to his hyperactivity and short attention span. With its astronomical sugar and caffeine content, this is one intense cereal, and Calvin scoops on EXTRA sugar to boot! The C&H comics that feature Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs are some of my favorites, so of course I chose it as the dessert for our menu.

The OG Cocoa Puffs may qualify as closest in real cereals, but General Mills has changed the recipe

I had the calendars. They were great for my office wall.

I agree on the Hobbes plushie. I do have a stuffed tiger that my wife bought as a souvenir of a trip to the zoo, but it’s not Hobbes.

No you can’t. You can buy plastic toys that look like magic wands.

I’m reminded of the Big Bang Theory episode when Raj orders a “genuine Harry Potter magic wand” off somebody on the internet.

“He sent me a stick!”

I searched- Amazon has Attatoy Regit the Plush Tiger Toy, 17-Inch Tall Striped Sitting Tiger Stuffed Animal

and Etsy says they have them, named Hobbes- and looking like that tiger.

I have to agree that it’s a pretty good version. Slap Hobbes’ name on it and give Mr. Watterson a few million dollars. I don’t see anything unseemly about that.

Click over and look at the list of personnel. That’s a Hall of Fame collection.

After Metalocalypse became a hit on Adult Swim, Brendon Small actually put together a live band and has done several tours as Dethklok, singing and playing lead guitar alongside a second guitarist, bassist, and drummer, with animated music videos on a big screen and clips of the band’s fictional members in between songs. I saw them live twice and it was a lot of fun.
