FIFA Women's World Cup 2015

Need the number of a cardiologist fast!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Japan 2 - USA 4.

But almost right away:

Japan 2 - USA 5.

The USA is still controlling this.

Champions!

Fox crashed the feed. !@#%@#%^

They should never get another sport contract of any kind for a 100 years.

World Cup final!!!

Asshats…

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Was 5-2 and Abby W had just come on field.

Final score yet?

I also missed the own goal & #5 for the US due to FOX incompetence…Still off line, they lost a whole satellite… Stupid…

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG !!!

It finished 5-2. Abby drew a yellow (should have been a red) on a Japanese defender on her first possession, but the US never threatened to score. Rampone came on late and they just ran out the clock.

Final 5-2. America’s women win the football

Abby got the captains armband. Rampone came in too. Happy times

Female Mountie coming in with the trophy - followed by a dozen Robert Palmer girls? Lol

Fox and Telemundo have the next 3

I can’t imagine there’s ever been another major tournament in which both teams in the final conceded more goals than they had in the entire tournament before then.

The 2019 Womans World Cup is in France so they must be the very early favorites.

I tuned into Univision about 14 minutes in.

I don’t know who that woman was doing the color, but hearing her just swoon over Abby Wambach when she came in the game was just sickening.

For a second, I thought I was watching the Grey Cup.

Well, that escalated quickly.

What did? Did every other country in the world start using #SunInJapansEyes hashtags or something? Are there calls for Carli Lloyd to be SI Sportsman (er, Sportswoman) of the Year? Is it about Sepp Blatter’s no-show?

Can anyone link to the highlights? The ESPN videos I just watched are all talking heads, no on-the-field action whatsoever.

Here you go..

If you turned to Univision 14 minutes in, how did you know what the color commentator was saying about Wambach when she came in the 2nd half?

I thought the commentary was ok. Was it more homer-ific than ESPN’s WC coverage? Of course, but it was alright. I’ve always liked JP Dellacamera as the play by play guy. The color commentary could have definitely been better, but I give allowances due to the fact that a lot of the women doing commentary don’t have the national and big event experience as men have doing commentary (for obv reasons regarding televising the men’s game and women’s game when not at WCs).

He is refering to the Spanish language broadcast on Telemundo headed by the legendary Andres Cantor.

Just pretend it was posted around 17 minutes in.

The Women’s World Cup final game was the highest rated soccer game in US TV history. It even came in ahead of game 7 of last year’s World Series and the NBA final game. Go, ladies!
