Fighting Cancer Nanostyle!

Precisely controlled drug delivery systems thanks to “nanoballoons.”

In reading the article, it also looks like there’s a reduced risk of someone getting an overdose of the meds (something that occassionally happens, with potentially fatal results).

Woot! Yay science!

Good news, if it turns out to be safe and effective on a large scale. Next we need AIDS-killing nanobots, plaque-eating nanobots, fat-eating nanobots…

This is all fine, but when Skynet achieves consciousness those cancer-fighting nanobots are gonna bite us on the ass, literally.

God, could we please get the fat-eating ones soon.

Seriously, this is great news. I hope it works well & soon.
Are we now officially at the beginning of a cure for cancer.
I love when science makes these huge leaps forward.
Every year of my life, in some why, Sci-Fi is becoming reality.

I am lucky, my Mother-In-Law did very well with her Cancer Treatments but far too many still die or lose quality of life.

I think it’d be safe to keep some nanobot-eating nanobots in reserve, just in case.

Indeed. Now if we could only get past these stupid objections to stem cell research!

Mr. President, we cannot allow a nanobot gap!
Let’s go Sci-ence (clap clap clap-clap clap)! Let’s go Sci-ence (clap clap clap-clap clap)!

If we did develop those, I wonder how many people would wind up being dosed with them involuntarily? You know, Hollywood starlet’s agent thinks she’s a bit too heavy, so he slips some into her mineral water or something when she’s not looking, etc., etc., etc.
