File Sharing between Vista and XP

I seem to be having trouble sharing files between my Vista computer and my XP one. I set up the vista one to share files using this guide: http://www.home-network-help.com/simple-file-sharing.html

The XP one is set to share files as well. But I can’t see the folder. The files I want are on the vista one. Trying to move them to the XP one.

Both have the same workgroup name. I can’t figurer it out.

that site is fine. if you went threw it and still no joy try adding the same user and password to BOTH computers. If still not then share to that user not just everyone. should be fairly straight forward. If you have Norton firewall disable that for a bit to make sure it isnt blocking things.

workgroup the same?
ip and subnet the same?
