Vanishing Point, if for nothing more than fast driving and the line, “What are you laughing at, Mary!?!”
Three Amigos. I like it even if two of the amigos are the worst actors in the world.

I’m outing you, Miller. This was on HBO 2321 the other week and I watched it and liked it. I can’t remember if I got choked up, but I would probably watch it again. However, I really like Tommy Lee Jones.
I disagree to some extent about Dirty Dancing. While the title was obviously thought up to lure hormone teens to the theater, I thought the movie itself was actually a fairly touching coming of age story. Not brilliant, but worth watching.
That didn’t come out right.
Other than the name, there’s nothing to be ashamed of. It’s a fairly good movie.
Caveman
Lots of cheesy Hong Kong movies: e.g., The Seventh Curse, Eternal Evil of Asia, lots of the silly Category III movies
While You Were Sleeping.
Ok, I will own up to loving Weekend at Bernie’s, but Weekend at Bernie’s 2…NEVER!!!
Ok this is the only time I will admit to liking this movie, I’ll never say it again:
Stayin Alive
God that’s bad but… ok going back to lurker mode now
Road House with Patrick Swayze.
It’s so dumb, and so cliched, but I have to watch it every time it’s on.
Dazed and confused
I loved it…My friends hated it.
Okay, that movie has absolutely no place in this thread, and as proof, I offer you a solid 96% on the Tomatometer.
Go back and kick your friends’ asses for making you ashamed for liking this excellent film.
My point exactly! I ask these so called friends what was bad about the movie and the only reply I can get is…“It sucked.”
Got a thing for Hollywood ‘B’ movies (or, uh, movies that are 'B’ish in tone) of the '60s-'80s, for some reason. Here’s a few that I look back on with a rather misplaced fondness:
Tobruk
Force 10 From Navarone
The Omega Man
The Power
The Time Machine (not the recent remake)
Robinson Crusoe on Mars
Fantastic Voyage
Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry
99 44/100’s Dead
The Driver
Flashdance (I’m so ashamed)
Foxes (an earlier Adrian Lyne film with Jodie Foster AND Cherie Currie of The Runaways!)
Charley Varrick
Cross of Iron
The Gauntlet
Mothra
And a rubber stamp for the previous mentions of Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink and Destroy All Monsters.
I’m ashamed to admit I like You’ve Got Mail, but I really do hate Sleepless In Seatle.
Hey, I love Pretty in Pink and The Breakfast Club. In fact, I even started a thread about Pretty in Pink about a month ago.
Being a Madonna fan, I am thoroughly cursed in this area.
Dangerous Game, Swept Away and Desperately Seeking Susan are my Big Three.
I loved Truth Or Dare and A League Of Their Own too, but those don’t count since they were actually good, on account of Madonna not having to act and being given a supporting role, respectively.
Romy & Michelles High School Reunion
Armageddon
Any kind of teenage american film, stuff like 10 things I hate abot you, She’s all that etc etc, and most of the Adam Sandler movies.
I have no idea why I like these films, but if they’re on TV, i’ll watch them
Completely unashamed of loving Labyrinth. David Bowie in tights, how can you lose? No blushes about The Breakfast Club either. Things are starting to get a bit dubious with Young Guns and Young Guns II.
But the worst thing to admit is that
I liked
Titanic
Not really ashamed but still… God help me-
Pootie Tang.
Fine, so I love “The Parent Trap.” Both versions. It’s not my fault.
Oh, and “Babe, Pig in the City,” “Star Trek V” (hey, it’s better than “The Motion Picture”!), and the movie with Tom Selleck where the woman is accused of murder and does things like shoot him with an arrow.
Yes! I love these movies!
