Movies you're ashamed to admit you like.

Movies don’t have to have won an Oscar, or even been nominated, to be “good” What B-grade, campy, schlocky, suspension of dis-belief films do you like?

I’ll start it off.

Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death. Humor and sex, you can’t go wrong with either one!

The Scorpion King This sucker has more bad history than most, but it’s a real hoot. I like the scene where the little boy throws a coin into the well, making a wish. The crazy scientist is played by the same guy who was Theoden in the LOTR.

Godzilla I’m a fan of Japanese monster flicks, but here I’m not talking about the classics, I’m talking about the American film, with Matthew"Worm Guy" Broderick.

Anyone else wanna fess up?

I’m not really ashamed, but professing my love for Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle often gets me a :dubious:, especially from people who have never seen it and assume it’s just Cheech and Chong 2.0.

Top Gun.

The Powerpuff Girls Movie. I got some funny looks in the theatre that day, let me tell you.

This probably isn’t what the OP had in mind, but in my circle of friends, I’m ashamed to admit I like “Emma.”

Coyote Ugly. I’ve seen it probably half a dozen times.

Independence Day
Red Dawn

The Care Bears movie

Flash Gordon

Vertical Limit

I know, I know

“Rock Star” with Mark Wahlberg. Yes, it’s cheesy in that rise, fall and redemption “Behind the Music” sort of way. But I’m a sucker for that kind of stuff, and the soundtrack rocks. I also get a kick out of seeing a long-haired Dominic West, who played McNulty on “The Wire,” decked out in full '80s metal regalia.
Whenever I’m flipping though the channels and happen to see it’s on (and Fuse seems to show it all the time these days) I’ll stop and watch.

Anaconda. Jon Voight’s character is just so entertaining!

Loud and proud fan of this masterpiece of 1950s comic book parody, say it out, say it loud brother!

Legally Blonde

Every Which Way But Loose
Carwash
Early Steven Segal

Desperately Seeking Susan

I’m not really ashamed anymore of my taste in movies … life is too short. And I think some of the movies mentioned are classics, like Flash Gordon and Carwash.

The one movie that I am shocked that I like as much as I do is Euro Trip. I think it’s hilarious from start to finish. Even the opening chords of “Scotty Doesn’t Know” will start me off in hysterics.

Point Break. There is more bad acting in this one than any other movie. Swayze gave the best, most realistic & understated performance in the film.

Conan the Barbarian

Love Goddesses of Blood Island. Standard mid-60’s drive-in fare. But cheaper and so-bad-its-good.

My big fat Greek wedding.

Pride and Prejudice (the Keira Knightly one)

The Joy Luck Club if I’m in the mood

Deep Impact

Bubble Boy - it’s just so goofy and endearing. I especially love the carnival freaks and the shiny happy (scary) cult. And the girl next door and her asshole boyfriend. And the kooky mom and dad. And everything else.
