This is a disaster. There’s no way in hell I’m going to get any work done this Christmas now.
Must… buy… game…
I’m generally not into the final fantasy series. I sortof liked 6 and 7, but not amazingly so, was bored by the earlier ones and apalled by 8 (I never even picked up 9). My sister had a copy of 10, and in a moment of extreme boredom I picked up the controller and started to play.
When I put the controller down the summer holidays had ended. Too addictive.
FFX-2 looks neat. Not much like a final fantasy game, but that isn’t really a bad thing. I’m just apalled that the main character doesn’t have spiky hair and a sword.
I tried to pick it up at a few places on Tuesday, but they all told me they didn’t have it yet. If I can’t find it tonight, I’m going out tomorrow and not coming home until I have it. Must have it! Must have this game, I say!
Got the game Wednesday. I’m leaving for Europe in three hours. I wonder if I could bring my PS2 as carry-on? Geez. A week of debauchery in Amsterdam, or Final Fantasy X-2? Decisions, decisions…
[good-natured nitpick]lola, there’s no “a” in “horde”[/good-natured nitpick]
This is one thing that I was kind of wondering (and worrying) about. Since Nobuo Uematsu wasn’t doing any of the musical composition for this FF game (I think the first and only FF game he hasn’t composed for so far), I was kind of skeptical of what to expect. In my opinion, Uematsu is a musical genius, and one of the reasons I can’t wait for FFXII.
My wife (God bless her!) just bought me this game today, so I can’t wait to try it out tonight.
I picked it up Tuesday & am about 35 hours into it (right at Killika in Chapter One). Spent a lot of time wandering around learning skills and leveling up. Have 2-3 jobs completed on all characters. I like this game very much, except I hate the damn mini-games!
