Please please please get the english language one out soon. I loved FFX, incredibly smooth transitions, cool characters, the best I have seen since FFVII.
Anyone else waiting, or, actually seen pre-release copy?

I’m a bit hesitant about this game. I’m sure it will be fine, but I am not a big fan of Square doing sequals to their Final Fantasy games.

The whole idea of a Final Fantasy game is that it is supposed to be the “Final Fantasy” for that world, the final adventure that brings peace.

I’m looking forward to Final Fantasy XII, designed by the guy who did Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story.

Hmm…my extreme desire for a sequel is probably that i adored the characters in this one, I found them very well drawn - although I understand that not all of them will return…Auron would be first on the no-return list I think.

Mmmmm…hot pants

Him and Tidus. That leaves Yuna as the single surviving main character. Could be interesting, though.

I very strongly disliked Yuna when I played the game through for the first time. Currently, my roommate is playing the game and I’m finding that I’m liking her even less.

Something about the combination of a terrible, terrible voice actress and the character’s miserable decision making ability in the game just makes me wish the game was just about Rikku and possibly Auron.

So, no, definitely not looking forward to X-2.

OK, I poked around a little on the site, and stumbled into the screenshots. It looks like Rikku and Yuna are back (and Rikku is hot!!!). Since it was a flash thing, I can’t provide links.

I’ll buy it if they release it over here.

But at the end of FFX, the aeons were kinda released, so I’ll be curious to see how they reintroduce that.

I so wanted Rikku too. But then I found out she was also Timmy Turner from “The Fairly Oddparents” and that made it a little wierd. How long did it take you to figure out who the guy doing Wakka was?
Sorry, this is the first real FF thread since I finished that game.

Here, IMDb

Anyway I hope they actually let me explore the world when (or if) they release it in the US.

Tidus is in this one, no telling in what capacity though. So are Lulu, Wakka, Rikku, and Kihmari.

I’m definitely getting it (assuming it’s released in the US, and I can’t imagine it wouldn’t be). The characters in FFX were the first Final Fantasy characters that were interesting and somewhat likeable. Final Fantasy IX is still my favorite of the games, but there wasn’t much characterization there.

The biggest draw for me is the whole job system. Apparently, all the standard FF jobs (like from FF Tactics) are there, in one form or the other. Unfortunately, they’ve implemented it in the most unappealing way (to a 31-year-old man like myself, anyway) possible. At points you can trigger a Dress Up! for any of the ladies to change their outfits to support new jobs and abilities. Yay! And while I’m at it, I’m not quite sure how I feel about the “pop star” job class.

But hey, it’s still a Japanese videogame. They’re meant to be wacky, self-important, and filled with total nonsequiturs.

Yes, Tidus should/could be in this one.

See, there was an epilouge to Final Fantasy X that was only available on the international version. It’s a movie that shows what happens a few months after the events of FFX.

Tidus appears ever so briefly in it. In fact, it seems that Yuna and Rikku are motivated to go get him, though in the sequel they have an alternate motivation to fight as well.

I figured if Tidus made a return, it would be on the list of lamest comebacks ever. I liked the way he ended in FFX.
