One of my personal most anticipated game for this year is F.E.A.R 3. All because of the new multiplayer modes. Its not your average same old team deathmatch or capture the flag, instead its mostly coop objective modes. If you like left 4 dead, then you should love this. Heres a youtube link and some info on the modes
oh dam i forgot to link the review lmao, well here it is anyways
and i just wanted to tell people about the game, i didnt know about it untill a week ago, and im a big fps game fan, so i just wanted to let people know
dam, i see it on my other post, but not this one. is there a way to put the link on my first post? so they dont have to read my other post to get the link?
Not that “Contractions” doesn’t sound awesome, but it’s just FEAR 3’s take on the now-standard “Horde Mode.”
Now “Fucking Run,” that’s an awesome new multiplayer mode:

“Fucking Run” features 4 players running through waves of enemies, all the while running from Alma’s massive “Wall of Death.” The players start off in a safe room and proceed through levels, killing enemies within a certain amount of time. There are several safe rooms throughout the mode, and if a player is downed, one of the co-op players can revive them. If one player is killed the game is over.

Looks to me like it’s very susceptible to trolling seeing as everyone needs to be alive at the end. I wouldn’t want to play that mode with random pubs. The mode itself looks interesting.
I liked the first two well enough. The gameplay was solid and the enemy AI was pretty good. The level design in the first one was pretty repetitive, but that was rectified in the sequel. Didn’t find the games scary at all. Cheap jump scares for the most part.
Fear 3 looks like it could be good, but I’m not really sold on the fact that the campaign is designed to be played in co-op. Didn’t work so well for Resident Evil 5.
This isn’t in relation to the multiplay modes, but my husband and I tried fear 3 last night, doing the 2 player campaign.
So far, I recommend it! It has an interesting horror atmosphere, and we had fun running around shooting things. My only complaint is that I seem to get ‘stuck’ on boxes when I’m crouching behind them. Granted, perhaps my strategy shouldn’t be ‘hide while my husband shoots up the room, occasionally popping up like a ground hog to try to take someone down…’
I’m playing as the ‘shot in the heat psycho’ guy, and he’s very fun. No worries about ammo, taking over people’s bodies, eating souls, laughing manically…good times.
