I just saw this and enjoyed it. Giggled a lot; had fun.
I saw it today. I enjoyed it, but it did drag in parts. Eva Green seemed to be having a lot of fun with her role. Her character was twice as compelling as Victoria/Josette.
They seemed to have included most of the funny bits in the trailer, though. The one that wasn’t included was right after Collins’s rising, he sees “The Sign of Mephistopheles!!!” The theater I was in broke up.
It seemed like half a movie though. Lots of things left unresolved. Maybe for Part 2?
They certainly left a premise for a sequel.
Saw this last night and really enjoyed it. My only real gripe was the Victoria character. You could cut her scenes from the movie entirely, and not actually change the plot at all.
We saw it last weekend - I agree.
This wasn’t a very good movie. It wasn’t a bad movie. It wasn’t a particularly funny movie. In fact, it wasn’t a very interesting movie - I got kind of bored partway through.
It was a gorgeous movie to look at, though. Two thumbs way up for that.
