Finding a surgeon in Costa Rica... how ??

I’d like to know what resources are available for finding qualified plastic surgeons in Costa Rica. What is the best way to find good ones? What ways can I check on their background and so on? In the US I know there are agencies that maintain info that is pretty easy to find, but overseas?

Does anyone have any other general info about having plastic surgery done in Costa Rica?

Maybe you should learn some Spanish, or go to the US Embassy or Consulate to ask for information.

This site has a section for specialists, which is what I imagine you’d need, but it says it is under construction, and therefore there is no information available. The rest of it doesn’t seem to be useful for you. Sorry!

Has anyone here gone abroad for medical work before? Do you know how they deal with the whole consultation issue? I mean… I won’t be able to go for a consultation before I choose a surgeon, being that it’s on another continent and all…? I have to do all the research and choosing without actually meeting the doctors. It’s kind of weird.
