Finding an old friend who went into the NAVY...

I’ve tried finding him on the normal net searches, but have come up with too many hits (common name). His name is Jeff Mayfield, from Colorado, is (was?) married to a girl named Allison, and the last time I saw him he was working as an airplane mechanic in the NAVY, stationed in Virginia(I think he even said F-16’s) in the early 90’s.

Are there military organizations, websites or ??? that I can contact and try and feed in all of the little bits of information I know about him to come up with a smaller list of people to contact?

Yes, I know, I’ll fork out the $75 if this doesn’t work, but I’m trying to find him for free first.
