Finding last week's news on the Web

I’ve been abroad and off the Web for a couple of weeks. I’d like to catch up on the headline news for each day that I missed. How can I do that?

Ideally you’d be able to access the New York Times front page (or indeed, the whole paper) for a week or 10 days ago just as easily as you can find the NY Times for today. Surprisingly, it doesn’t seem so easy.

Sure, all major news outlets have archives. But those are for searching for individual articles. That’s not what I want. I want to see what the news was on, e.g., April 26, 2016, from a major U.S. newspaper.

I appreciate any help the Teeming Millions can give!

This sounds like a job for the Wayback Machine.

The NY Times for example is archived back to 1996.

Wow, I had no idea the Wayback Machine was archiving the Times every day. This is exactly what I was looking for. Many thanks, Crazyhorse!

hey this is nice thanks for sharing!
