"Finding Nemo" - let's talk!

Ice Age was a FOX film, I think. FOX has done some interesting things over the years but Ice Age wasn’t one of them. I found it to be extremely boring and not worth the money I paid to get in,despite my high hopes for it.
PIXAR is in negotions with Disney for their contract and I think that PIXAR will come out with the better deal if they end up staying with Disney. I think if they left Disney and went with say oh…Dreamworks, they’d give Disney a real run for their money.
I think that NEMO is going to be a HUGE hit this summer with both kids and adults and I’m one of those who can’t wait to go see it. I’ve even downloaded a Nemo theme for my computer.

I agree with you, I have also been looking forward to Finding Nemo more than any other movie this Summer. When I first saw the trailers it brought back memories from when I was a kid. I used to stare at my fish tank, and pretend they all had personalities and could talk to one another, etc… I can’t wait for this movie!

The turtle voice may be a little annoying, but I still like the idea of extreme turtles traveling at high speeds. Definitely amusing at the very least.

I’m not sure what is going on between Pixar and Disney, but I’ll take Pixar movies over Disney any day. And not just because the animation is that much more incredible, but beacause Pixar makes movies that put you into another world, whether it’s toys, bugs, monsters, or fish… It all seems so real, and you can relate to these creatures! I can’t imagine Pixar doing a bad movie and I’m confident Nemo will be as good or better than the rest of their movies.

I get the feeling Crush (the “surfer dude” turtle) will end up pulling a Yoda…

Pixar is literally spanking Disney in animated movies these days, and the reason IMO is because Pixar’s stuff is focused on the story. They start off with an interesting premise, hook you with some neat visuals, then reel you in by making you care about the characters and their dilemma. Disney’s stuff, on the other hand, tends to be more gimmick-focused these days – aside from Lilo & Stitch, I can’t think of a recent Disney animated movie that had the emotional depth of a Pixar film. John Lasseter is a storytelling genius.

Tonight on 60 MINUTES II (or whatever the CBS program is that airs at 8pm central time) there will be a segment on the making of NEMO. Set your VCRs.

For whoever gives a darn, Rotten Tomatoes has the first round of Nemo reviews, and everyone’s given it a thumbs up so far – 100% fresh on the Tomatometer!

Pet peeve. I hate when people use “literally” when they don’t mean “literally”. BLECH!!! Just had to say that. Nothing personal rjung.

Anyway, Nemo looks kinda boring but i will be taking me daughter to that one.
