Hi all. My brother and I are trying to sort out an issue involving my late father’s will and property in India. The only reference we have to go on so far is the name and address of the lawyer who originally prepared my father’s will there, approximately 15 years ago. We have no idea whether or not this lawyer is competent and/or ethical, although we are in desperate need of a lawyer’s services in resolving this issue.
For USA lawyers, there are no shortage of on-line services that provide peer and/or client reviews (e.g. http://www.lawyerratingz.com/index.jsp, http://www.avvo.com/, http://www.lawyers.com/, http://www.martindale.com/). However, these sites have been singularly unhelpful as they are either completely or predominantly composed of US listings.
Is anyone aware of a similar resource I might utilize to find and/or evaluate Wills & Probate lawyers in Bangalore, India?
