‘Tape drive reported an error’ and I can’t see the catalogue.
In NT server backup there’s a folder with a ‘?’ on it and I can’t see the contents of the cereal commercial we’ve just finished. The only other backup is over a MONTH old.
No good, since the client wants to change the pack design on all the shots. If I can’t recover the data somehow I’m screwed.
SO, M&P - but cross your fingers for me. I’ve asked it to extract and verify the whole tape (even though it doesn’t know what’s on it). The last time I tried I got a buffer error, but that could have been because I was restoring to an external USB2 hard disk across a network. Now I’m restoring to the raid (over the network still)…
