Another kind of frog: the railroad frog:
Basically, it’s part of a railroad switch, where trains can move from one track to another.
There are these giant pinchers to pick up logs with.
I’ve heard them called log frogs. I don’t see it listed any where but I have heard it.
I think the steel industry may have something called a frog, but I can’t find that either.
Any way, it’s a great descriptive word.

And I have heard the unraveling of knitted work called that.
I have fond memories of my ol’ Granny saying “frog it girl” when she was trying to teach me to knit. I never learned.
