Finish/Correct/Credit this quote.

“Don’t worry about the little things in life. And everything is little”

I’ve seen a quote similar to this and feel I’ve butchered it. If you know what the correct quote is let me know. And if you know who is credited with saying share that as well! Thanks in advance!

Title of this book, perhaps?

That would have been my guess at the phrase. I note that Carlson’s book came out in 1997 and the expression is rather older than his borrowing of it. (I doubt that you will find an actual original author, but I may be proven wrong.)

I first saw it as a poster of “rules”:

Rules:
#1 Don’t sweat the small stuff.
#2 It’s all small stuff.

I doubt that it was original with whoever created the poster I saw.

I figured it had to be older, too, but it was the only attribution I could find.

“< Rule A: Don’t sweat the small stuff. Rule B: It’s all small stuff. >”

That is from a Usenet post dated 5-Oct-84. Thus this goes back at least over 20 years.

I saw a T-shirt once that said “Don’t sweat the petty things & don’t pet the sweaty things.”
