James and his neighbor both took a spade and scooped the nest in his yard, and dumped it on the nest in the other’s yard. I like that solution. Let the fuckers kill each other.

I remember this being the preferred way of dealing with ground-nesting wasps, as a child. Dump a shovelful of red wood-ant nest on top of the entrance to their hive.

If only we could find a way to turn the fire ants and the kudzu against each other . .

Since I live in the Land O’ Cotton, any area that has fire ants fails to have boll weevil outbreaks. For real…
