Look, I know we had been discussing re-doing the kitchen now we have effectively finished the bathroom except for painting the trim, and we had a slight flea problem thanks to one of the cats getting out and getting en-fleaed, but dammit, burning the house down was a tad excessive.
The site is now released to us - and I got to meet the cutest little arson dog but it is going to really suck having to filter through what is left to see what survived. This is the second arson on the road in 2 years … on the plus side, we all got out except for one cat [poor Five, may he rest in peace:mad:]
I mean it was pretty funny to me, I thought others would appreciate the wit
Besides, with a title like “Fire as a Redecorating tool,” I feel like the OP has a sense of humor about the situation
I mean that still sucks, and I’m sorry for the loss and all, obviously
I’m confused between your comments & the article; you were home at 11:45 pm on Sunday (when many people are asleep) & someone intentionally set the outside of your house on fire resulting in the loss of your cat (sorry). If so, it could have ended up a lot worse; glad you’re (mostly) okay.
God, that’s awful. I’m glad you and (most of) yours are okay. Please don’t hate me, but I couldn’t help noticing the irony in Water Street not having any fire hydrants.
Boy did misunderstand the OP. The first paragraph where you are suffering trials thanks to your pets, and then the phrase about the dog made me think you were pitting your dog for starting a fire and killing the cat. It took a re-read for me to figure out you met an arson INVESTIGATION dog, not an arsonist dog.
Man, that’s horrible. My sympathies for your loss, especially the cat.
Since this is more about sharing troubles in your life than railing at another poster or public figure (or even the guy who set the fire, for that matter), I’m going to move it over to MPSIMS, which is more of a sympathetic forum than the Pit tends to be.
Wow, this really sucks. I’m sorry to hear about your house and cat. Hopefully you can salvage some important stuff like pictures etc. And hopefully they’ll catch the bastard(s).
Oh my goodness, I am so sorry. What an awful experience to go through. Sorry for the loss of poor little Five, and for all the material stuff. Wishing you well
And please pardon me for asking a rude question but just what kind of help does the Red Cross offer these days? I see that line in a lot of stories but I’ve never heard any of the actual details. In other words, is it worth a donation?
