Well, I was a trifle bored, stressed out, and in a morbid mood at work last night, and I got to wondering; what would the “mane” cast of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic favor…in the way of personal firearms?
Twilight Sparkle: Unsure. Either some finetuned flashy high-tech thing in 5.7×28mm, or some solid old long gun favored by people who still complain that repeaters are detrimental to fire discipline and a damned waste of ammunition. Maybe a Martini-Henry or a Quigley Sharps.
Fluttershy: N/A. (Would never touch a gun, normally—when in the life-or-death defense of others, would go straight to fighting with tooth and claw.)
Pinkie Pie: I’d have to dig through my reference files to find a something specific, but something along the lines of “belt fed” “rotary” and “underbarrel Livens Projector” should fit the bill.
So…anyone else else want to chime in? There’s still plenty of preemptive childhood ruining to go around!
I am fairly clueless when it comes to firearms, but I’d think something like this might find its way into Fluttershy’s hooves when “pretty please” just isn’t enough. Don’t mess with the quiet ones.
I’m also inclined to think Twilight would use something exotic. Maybe a homebrewed coilgun she concocted in the library basement. (Or maybe that’s just because I identify with her, and built one for myself when I was a kid.)
