Fluttershy is obviously a Gangrel.

Note: if you clicked on this in the hopes of figuring out what the title meant, you are probably out of luck.

My job does not require a lot of my brain. As such I get to spend much of the day thinking about more important stuff like which old World of Darkness vampire clans the Mane Six from MLP:FIM would be in.

Fluttershy is obviously a Gangrel, Rarity is Toreador to the core, Pinkie Pie is the poster child for Malkavian, and Rainbow Dash strikes me as a Brujah.

Applejack, after much back and forth, is a Giovanni. It’s all about the family.

Twilight Sparkle strikes me as more difficult to place. My first thought was Ventrue, the whole princess thing, but the scholarship is more True Brujah. I was mulling these over when a horrifying thought occurred to me: maybe she and Celestia and Luna are in fact Tremere. That is when I decided to come to the Dope in search of helpful opinions.

Background pony ideas are also welcome. Derpy Hooves is the cutest Nosferatu I have ever seen.

Tomorrow at work I will be revisiting he question of what mixed martial arts would look like in a zero gravity environment. “Tonight, stepping into the Dodecahedron, …”

How about an illustration? My Little Masquerade. Pinkie Pie does make a good Malkavian…

Twilight would be a Telyavelic Tremere bloodline founder: she was sent to learn a different, more subtle and primal form of magic.

My head is hurting so much right now.

Making reasonable allowances for fanon, Vinyl appears to be pretty much an archetypical Brujah. Octavia…Toreador, I would think.

Do you guys really watch cartoons for little girls?

“Fluttershy is obviously a Gangrel” would be a splendid “he said” or “she said” line in the parlour game of “Consequences”.

Well, this makes me feel better about putting together a MLP alignment chart.

Pics or it didn’t happen :smiley:

Coming into this thread to ask a question like this is threadshitting. Don’t do it.

No warning issued.

Misread the tense of my verb, there. Hasn’t happened yet, still in the design phase. :wink:

Posting about MLP outside of MLP fansites is a mortal sin. The Cafe Society is for manly topics like steak, cigars, and Star Wars vs. Star Trek.

Never played Vampire Masquerades, but I was contemplating and looking at MLP x DCAU Justice League stuff a couple days ago. Everyone else is wrong. Here’s what I came up with.

Superman = Celestia
Godlike being everyone worships, special connection to the sun, but goes down like a sack of potatoes to establish the newest villain isn’t messing around AKA the Worf effect.

Martian Manhunter = Luna
Pseudo-loner/outcast, creepy powers that freak people out, turning into a shadow is sorta like going through walls, and she can go into your dreams, which is like mind reading.

Green Lantern = Twilight
Mostly because their telekinetic powers are so similar. If just focused on the main 6 she’s usually Superman for her leadership role. Personality-wise she doesn’t have a good fit. Bruce Wayne or the Martian, maybe.

The Flash = Pinkie
Stupidly fast, comic relief, and eats everything in sight to fuel metabolism. Usually Rainbow is the Flash because she can go super sonic, but this works better because Pinkie is almost as fast while sticking to the ground and has a closer personality fit. Also in Magic Mystery Cure when they switched destinies the entire town became depressed and angry without Pinkie, sorta like the alternate dimension where the Flash died and the Justice League turned fascist.

Hawkgirl = Rainbow
They fly around and hit things. Always takes the direct approach. Most of their plots involve mixed loyalties.

Wonderwoman = Applejack
Has the rope, the strength, and doesn’t have a particularly extreme personality compared to the rest of the cast. Both have a connection to the Earth itself. AJ might work as Batman though, since the rope could be like a grapple and her parents are deader than disco.

Batman = Rarity
Usually this goes to fanon Pinkamena because of her brooding, but then Pinkie can’t be the Flash. Rarity has a successful business, is a highly eligible bachelorette, no one would suspect her alternate identity, and she can make her own costumes. Plus she could fashion weapons out of her tape measures, gems, scissors, and needles. Only problem is her parents are alive.

Aquaman = Fluttershy
Except she can talk to and command ALL the animals, even dragons and cockatrices.

Zatanna = Trixie
An easy throw in.

You left out “acts goofy in part to cover insecurities”.

Good fit.

Difficult. Pinkie has the arsenal of equipment matching her theme, including aircraft. She also has formidable infiltration abilities. Those are pretty strong Bat-factors.

Look up “bronies”.

I would challenge that statement. I know many boys ranging in age 3 - 12 who watch the show. I think the reason we believe it is for little girls is because the My Little Ponies we grew up with was for little girls.

No, I watch cartoons for fun and to unwind.

I think ‘little girls’ are more your thing. :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

Obviously a Gangrel? Then who is obviously an Edge and a Christian?

Wow…I understand a very small percentage of this thread, specifically the part referring to the vampire clans. One of these days I suppose I need to expose myself to the whole pony phenomenon.

Perhaps that’s a poor choice of words on my part.

Pinkie is Spiderman, she even has the Pinkie Sense! Her various gadgets are like what Peter Parker built for Spiderman such as his webshooters and other little gizmos. She’s always happy and cheerful which is completely the opposite of Batman.

marshmallow’s matchups were confined to the DCAU. There are better matches for Pinkie in the Marvel universe. Pinkiepool is a popular one, but the Spider-Man parallels are solid, too. (Besides, you wouldn’t expect Pinkie to allow herself to be neatly pigeonholed, would you?)
