Firearms Question - Is Limp-Wristing a Real Phenomenon?

Good, high quality hollowpoints (I like the Hydra-Shok, based on some testing I did years ago when the newer subsonic hollowpoints like the SXT and Golden Sabre came out) are a must. They should feed fine in the Glock, but it’s always a good idea to run a couple of boxes through. JHPs are not only more effective (meaning you shoot less bullets, meaning less chance of injuring someone else) but they also help prevent overpenetration (even less chance of injuring someone else).

Just make sure you can rack the slide quickly and reliably.

Some people don’t like the palm swell, so they get a grip reduction done. Most people are OK with it, though. It’s all in how it feels for you.

I have heard nothing but good things about any of the rounds I suggested. You can’t really go wrong with any of them. What I would suggest you do first, though, is fire a box of each bullet weight (go with ball ammunition for that, it’s cheaper). They all have different recoil and aiming characteristics, so go with what works best for you.

As far as reliability, I have never had an issue with my Glock. It eats everything with aplomb.

Whatever works for you. Your comfort is paramount.

The second one will void the warranty, but it has more commonality with other guns you might be familiar with. Besides, you’ll likely never use the warranty anyway.

I’ve been shooting SAA since I was about 8, and 1911’s for the past 20 years or so, it’s just what I’m used to. Modern ergonomic pistols feel funny to me. Doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with them, just that I’m behind the times.
