Fired DJ back on the air

For those of you who remember the talk show host fired for saying “coon” he’s back on the air in central Missouri.

It’s only a 2-week gig, but he’s happy just to be back anywhere.

Osage Beach…that would be very central Missouri.

Good for him. After reading (and hearing) the story, my first thoughts were:

  1. Everyone is SERIOUSLY overreacting to this.

  2. I hope this guy is able to get work again.

BTW, why is this in the Pit? You don’t seem very upset about it.

Agreed. There is way too much outrage over this incident. It was a mistake, he apologized, let it go. I mean, at least he didn’t suggest dragging anyone behind a truck.

The Pit thread about this was way longer and more read than the GD thread. I figured people who were interested might more readily be here to see it.

But since this is the Pit I guess I should say “shit” or something.

The only problem is that folks in central Missouri thought is what he meant to and decided to recruit.

Huh?

I believe he’s trying to imply they only hired him because they think the DJ in question is truely a racist.
