Firefly class ship in BSG Mini Series

So I sat down this evening to watch the BSG Mini Series in an effort to stave off the BSG hunger until Friday and as I watched it, we were coming up to the part where the doctor is going to tell Rosalyn she has cancer. As the camera begins facing up through the glass ceiling and into the sky it slowly pans down as a few ships cross the sky, there is one which crossed towards the left of the screen that gave me pause. I stopped the video and rolled back on the DVD and watched again. Bringing all the roommates into the room we were all convinced it was the ship.

Checking IMDB confirms that the ship flying overhead was a Firefly class ship.

Anyone else see this?

Yeah, that’s a well-known easter egg type thing. The same company did the computer effects for both Firefly and BSG, and they snuck that in there for the fans.

If one looks closely, there are several well known ships in the Rag-Tag Fleet.

These distant Easter Eggs have been confirmed by the effects house.
