Firefly Soundtrack on iTunes

With the hip, savvy crowd we have here, I’m probably like the guy in Chicago who came out of his house on October 10th, 1871, and said “Hey everybody! There’s a fire!”

But for those few piteous souls (like me) who aren’t always in-the-know, the entire soundtrack to Firefly, the excellent, short-lived TV series by Buffy creator Joss Whedon, is available on iTunes for $9.99.

Hmm… fascinating - I did not know that.

Having always been a little resistant to the ipod culture, I’ve been saying for a while now, “I’ll sign up for an itunes account when there’s something I want, that’s on itunes canada and not available in some other online music store - like napster, puretracks, or emusic.”

Looks like that day has now come! I already have the serenity soundtrack in regular format, and was expecting to order the firefly one similarly, but if it’s on the itunes… I guess I go there.

They don’t have the Jaynestown song? I would’ve thought that would be right up there.

I heard it played in a small bar at the Renaissance Festival…strange and cool at the same time.
