Wow.
No wonder it never aired. Far too intense for the fourteen year olds who ogle T’Pol every Wednesday.
Certainly one of the best, perhaps the best. Used character development from the other episodes.
But then, there are two more I’ve not seen. 
Find someone who has the CDs and watch it.
Puts Enterprise to shame.

“The Message” wasn’t aired and is on the CD.
Oh don’t be so sure.
The ‘Space’ Channel in Canada has been re-airing the old episodes and recently aired 2 never before seen ep’s and might have a few more as well.
So, what happened in that one?
Not aired in the USA, then.
There is a scam run on the crew involving the body of a war buddy.
The corpse is sent in the mail and Jayne asks the rhetorical question, “Why did y’all order a dead guy?”
Anyway there are serious results and it is very, very good. Good enough that I don’t feel like spoiling it.

The hookers on the planet is one of the reasons I think Firefly wasn’t renewed. Too intense for the kiddies to watch, especially where she shot the guy.
I wish Showtime or HBO had taken it up.
“The Message” was a good ep. I still think “Out of Gas” and “Ariel” were the best eps.
