This is great news!
We are the teeming 1,500!
This is great news!
We are the teeming 1,500!
It will be interesting to see what the final number looks like (adjusting for new members who haven’t registered yet) and whether it ends up being closer to 7000 or 3806. Prediction: we’ll see 4500 before 4/21. The more the merrier of course.
Right now, among the most recent posts, it appears the vast majority are being made by charter members.
So, have we made enough to keep the hamsters in booze and whores yet?

Takes more than that to teem, I think. We, by contrast, are bumbling around like a hangar full of Clouseaus.
1500 may be too few to teem, but it’s enough to be A CAST OF THOUSANDS!
Thanks for the updates, Ed. And congratulations on the great results.
Ah, but would not a cast of thousands necessitate multiple thousands, rather than one complete thousand and half of a second?
Au contraire, mon frere! You haven’t been watching enough reality TV.
If you round to the nearest thousand, then we have multiple thousands.
Personally, I think Teeming Dozens is way catchier.
“Teeming Dozens” sounds much more appropriate, given the amount of insulting that can go on here…
You realize, of course, that I’m using this rough idea on a site I’m designing. It’ll be interesting to see if our conversion rates are similar.
I show 1991 members right now. This doesn’t include Mods, Admins, Perfect Masters, etc.
For those keeping score, we had 2,005 subscribers as of Saturday morning, 3/27.
Fantastic! […happy dance…]
Finally! Now we’re the Teeming Thousands! Wooooooo!!!
[Samuel L Jackson]I’m teeming baby![/SLJ]
Total for first week (Mon., 3-29, 2 p.m. CST) 2,205.
Figuring a trickle for the next two weeks, and another spurt around April 20th, it looks like 3000 or close to it is attainable. I don’t think that’s bad at all. What were your expectations, even as vague as they might have been?
Didn’t have any real expectations - we’re in uncharted waters. I would have been disappointed with less than 2,000, considering the price and the number of active users. With 2,500 I’ll be content, 3,000 very happy, 3,500 delirious.
Good. I was a bit worried about how low a response rate would have made this an untenable solution. Thanks.
C’mon, you guys. Don’t you want to see a Delirious Ed? Wow, we could sell tickets!
