Mokeler himself has some severe medical issues, specifically arthritis for which he takes a vast amount of pain medication. He was ruled out as a donor because of all the meds, so he secretly stopped taking them to see if he would then qualify.

Nice story. However, since when is dialysis painful? My SIL is doing it and she has no physical complaints, except she gets cold. Dialysis is a royal pain in the ass, but I’ve never heard it’s painful.
