Who was the first member of the Beatles to perform a live concert on their own? And who was the first one to have their own live concert tour?
John Lennon and Yoko Ono performed at Cambridge University in 1969, which was the first concert performance by a Beatle outside the group. (The Plastic Ono Band set in Toronto later that same year would have been the first one involving actual songs.) Paul McCartney was the first Beatle to tour, in 1972.
George came to the U.S. In 1963 to visit his sister. While here he jammed with some locals at a veterans hall.
John and Yoko performed in front of an invited audience December 11,1968 for the Rolling Stones Rock and Circus.
I didn’t count that because it wasn’t really a John Lennon concert.
